In February of 2015, I had a Skype conversation with Ram Dass from the city of Brookline, MA, which is only a couple of miles away from his boyhood home.
I wasn't sure if I had lost my mind since I had doubts about many of the beliefs that our society believes in. He reassured me that I'm neither crazy nor alone. He said everyone is on a spiritual path designed for their incarnation.
I was reassured and yet, still unsettled. Ram Dass called these painful periods as low points. He told me not to put myself down during these times. Instead, he urged me to realize that I am loving awareness. Later, I saw one of his videos on YouTube; It was titled "The dark night of the soul." It was profound. I decided to compose an instrumental track with that title. In a way, it is a tribute to my low points.
"Only when the night is its darkest do the stars shine their brightest."
I dedicate it to Ram Dass and those who may think this is the end...
